THE PROBLEM
The UHC Act’s commitment to accessible healthcare encounters challenges at the local level. Rural Health Units (RHUs) grapple with understaffing, a lack of pharmacies & diagnostics, and shortages in essential medicines and equipment, reflecting broader healthcare issues in the nation.
Presently, only 50% of Filipinos can reach an RHU within a 30-minute travel time, highlighting the pressing need for an additional 2,400 RHUs by 2025. With determination, we aim to fill these gaps in the healthcare system, ensuring a more comprehensive and accessible network for all.

- Build and/or operate a comprehensive healthcare facility that can meet the demands of the envisioned healthcare system under the UHC Act and adhere to the requirements of the PhilHealth Konsulta Program.
